A noun phrase is a phrase that functions as a noun.
How can we develop nouns into noun phrase?
1. By adding a determiner: a, an, the, some, your, his, many , five, etc.
Ex. An envelope

2. By adding adjectives: good, bad, long, short, etc.
Ex. A good boy
Beautiful places
Long dress
3. By adding a present participle: opening, walking, sleeping, etc.
Ex. An opening ceremony
The tree standing in the garden
The girl sitting between John and Mary is my sister
4. By adding a past participle: written, spoken, made. Etc.
Ex. A written text

The letter typed by the secretary
5. By adding a noun: bus, TV, arm, etc. (noun +noun)

6. By adding a preposition: in, on, at, of, etc.
Ex. The house at the foot of the hill
